Here he limns the twin toothed towers built by Men, conquered by the Shadow, and finally tumbled down in the wake of the One Ring’s destruction. Listening feels like a wanderer seeing these towers for the first time, staring up at them with wide-eyed awe and trembling fear.

2016's "Towers of the Teeth" by THANGORODRIM was one of the very first releases on Out of Season. This recording pre-dates the now legendary "Taur Nu Fuin" LP by a few months and is comprised of two long songs each clocking in at close to 14 minutes. An absolutely essential piece of modern dungeon synth that should be in the collection of any fan of the genre. Highest recommendation!

I love the mix of quiet melancholy and soaring wonder here. Listening makes me feel like I am looking up at the night sky on another world, watching impossible boreal colors dance along the horizon while tall trees sway in the keening wind, and gray-cloaked figures add their own long-dead voices to the joyful lament.
